A IOB, tradicional consultoria da área jurídica, voltou para a vitrine. Seus controladores, um grupo de executivos da própria empresa, procuram um comprador. Não faz nem um ano que eles pagaram R$ 50 milhões à francesa Thomson para ficar com a IOB.
IOB, a traditional legal affairs consultancy, is back in the shop window. Its controlling partners, a group of its own managers, are in search of a buyer. Not a year has gone by since they paid R$50 million to the French firm Thomson for the company.
There is a French Thomson, but it is a technology company.
The Thomson Corporation that has just approved a merger with Reuters is Canadian and listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange.
Unless Canada merged with France and I failed to hear about it.

I am somewhat familiar with their products from the sebo of São Paulo, where I hunt for books that explain how the hell things work around here. It’s true: Thomson left their mark on the company. Apparently in a good way.
I will be spending the day in the dentist’s chair, and getting my orifices probed, tires rotated, oil changed.
My chassis has reached the 100,000-mile mark all of a sudden.
